As we noted at the end of last term, we have become aware of plans to make the whole road out of the front of school (up to the Trent Road turning) double yellow lines. I attach for your attention a copy of the plans lodged Rutland County Council.
We have requested that an extension be made to the consultation period for these plans, which has been granted. The review will now remain open until Monday 5th November.
I am extremely concerned that should these plans go ahead, then many parents will be obliged to park some way away from school and, possibly, in less-safe areas than those presently used. As a school, we intend to raise our objections to these plans – on the grounds of safety. However, without support from our parent body, these plans will go ahead regardless.
I am therefore writing to request that, should you share our concerns about the potential impact upon the safety of our children, that you also register your objections to this plan. Any person wishing to make any objection to this proposal should do so either by email to email@example.com or by writing to the Parking Services Manager, Rutland County Council

I am, as ever, more than happy to discuss the issue with anyone should you require any further information and thank you in advance for any support you are able to provide in this matter.
